Knitting news!
I finished my Central Park socks, from the New York sock club collection. I used the yarn tree sw merino/nylon in the Dr Suess colourway.
I finished the Winter is Coming grande shawl (test knit for Sally AKA
pinkhairgirl), though it still needs a good wash and block. The stitch patterns look wonderful with the jellybeans yarn, colourway is stormy weather. I'll upload a better picture soon.
I also finished the Cutting Edge shawl (test knit for Georgie AKA
tikki knits). I need to get a nice picture of this one too, I used malabrigo rios in lotus, ivy and volcan.
I also made this super cute gnome :) pattern is never not gnoming and I used jellybeans yarn held double.
The creepiest toy I have ever made lol I tried amending a flat pattern to knit in the round, it worked out ok for the body/head and legs but it went down hill from there lol It's supposed to be makka pakka from in the night garden. I think it's the stuff of nightmares, my son however, loves it, and I guess that's all that matters lol
To make amends for the above monstrosity, I knit this cute giraffe, and of course my son has absolutely no interest in it lol pattern is rollie by Susan Claudino and I used jellybeans yarn held double. I messed up the face a bit, but it's still cuter than the makka pakka lol
I've cast on a rare pair of toe up socks, I'm using heart and sole in the mash up colourway.
My son kept giving me the pattern and then yarn and even stuffing for iggle piggle, so I thought I better cast it on lol I'm again amending the pattern to be knit in the round, and also taking out the intarsia. Hopefully this one will turn out less frightful than makka pakka lol
No crochet or spinning news the last month or so.

I won an instagram give away by the knitters attic, I got some foot soap and soak, a sock ruler and a ball of opal sock yarn :)
I don't have a lot of mother of purl yarns, but she's decided to stop dyeing for the foreseeable future...so of course I had to order a few things in her closing down sale :)
I won an orifice hook from akerworks during tour de fleece, I chose the whale design but in TDF colours :) super cute :)
