Gnomes lol

Knitting news!
I made 2 gnomes with gifted red and green yarn and left overs.  They're so cute, I love the bells on the hat :) pattern is never not gnoming on ravelry, I used 5mm needles.
I love my Christmas at Grimmauld Place socks :) knit on 2mm needles with black contrast heel.
The gnomes are quite popular so made a few more; short gnomes, one red and one green.
A small red and green gnome. These are all knit with acrylic DK on 3.25mm and 3mm needles :)
A friend asked for 3 mini hats and scarves for her snowmen :)
More Christmas pudding covers :)
No crochet or spinning news.
Goodies!
The yarn tree Harry Potter box arrived :)
100g of sparkle sock in the it all ends colourway, hand painted glass coaster and progress keeper :)
Thor Ragnarok box from the yarn tree; 100g Donegal sock yarn, Lego Thor, progress keepers, picture and hammer.
I got a wooden mushroom ornament, it's so nice, from twinkenscrafts on etsy.
Get your yarn wish granted was on Instagram again, I granted a few minis so asked for yarn for colourwork mittens; though I'm told a hat might be easier for my first proper colourwork. These lovely skeins were donated by Isla of brit yarn.
I also got these fingering weight yarns from mothy and the squid, I only expected one so I was happily surprised :)
These opal minis were granted me off frauke, I love the selection :) she also surprised me with sweets :)

It's a long one, lots of FOs

Knitting news!
All the finished objects lol it's been a fair while since my last update so there are a few I'm afraid :)
First up, the world's creepiest iggle piggle lol to go with the world's weirdest makka pakka (see my previous post). These were for my son, I don't know what I did so wrong but they are what I imagine night garden characters would be like if Tim Burton did it lol but my son adores them and that's all that matters :)
I like these colours, mash up from heart and sole :) knit on 2.25mm and with a fish lips kiss heel.
The final pair from the New York sock club collection, the Q train socks, knit on 2mm needles with Rico superba bamboo, a new to me yarn base.
The antler mitts by tin can knits, with mistakes :( I didn't notice the mistake on the first one until I'd finished it, I wasn't ripping it out, so I tried to mimic it on the second; it didn't go well lol These were knit with Lancashire farm wool (I won off the yarn ambassador), they turned out a bit small for me so they went to my cousin for her birthday. I think I need a pair for myself in the future.
More heart and sole socks, this time in the dancing shoes colourway, they're for my niece; knit on 2.25mm needles with a heel flap and gusset.
So many puddings! I think I've knit around 80+ of these so far lol in both the ferrero rocher size and the Terry's chocolate orange size. They were for a Christmas fair but people have been ordering them so I still have plenty to knit to go to the fair lol
Terry's chocolate orange pudding covers :)
I wanted to do a pumpkin cover for my friends birthday, so I practiced with the small (they went on to my sons teachers for half term) before I tried the bigger one.
One Terry's chocolate orange pumpkin cover :) though I ended up making two as someone else wanted one for her son lol
I finished my I heart Harry Potter socks with the prisoner of Azkaban yarn from the yarn tree. Knit on 2mm needles, I did a small heart cable down the back of the leg.
Heart cable :)
Heart and sole, find your sea legs colourway, but good winter colours too :) knit with 2.25mm needles and West Yorkshire spinners contrasting heel and top of the cuff.
Tragedy struck! My sister borrowed her daughters socks and they got a hole...or that's what she told me. I was gutted, these are a mess, 5 full holes and a few micro holes too, devastated :( I can only assume they've been worn continually regardless of the holes (apparently they rubbed in her boots a bit) and so they needed a massive attempt at fixing. A little beyond my capabilities, but I did my best.
Far from elegant lol but I patched the holes using opal yarn. I'm hoping they last coz I'm not sure I can face doing this again.
I'm still working on the close to you for my aunt with the yarn tree sparkle sock yarn. I've also just cast on a new pair of socks but I don't have a picture yet as I haven't even finished the cuff.
Spinning news!
I've been doing very small amounts of spinning on my akerworks mini drop spindle.
I'm using random rolags by fondant fibre, I do 2 rolags, then wind them onto an empty toilet rolls (ready for plying), before starting the next rolags.
Goodies!
I'm going to be honest, this isn't all the goodies that I've had lol
First up is a two at a time sock sack by pixieyarns, I loved the mermaid fabric, though it's quite girly lol
I got a weaving kit from Siobhan crafts, this could be a good way to use left overs of commercial, hand dyed and hand spun yarns, and fibre too. I'm yet to try it but I hope I like it :)
The big bang theory box from the yarn tree :) it's so beautiful, it may have to be another close to you for myself as it's far too pretty to hide in my boots :)
Minis from Nordic stitches, we did a 10x5g mini swap, this included yarns from little French meadow, arctic yarn, stranded, Norah George etc.
Not yarn or fibre related at all, but I got my nails done for hallowe'en :) not had them done since years before my son was born. I'm surprised by how much I've liked having them done :) I'm hoping for festive ones for my birthday/yule :)
Sorry it was so long, hope you made it through the long post.
