Disney goodies!

Knitting news!
I've finally worked a bit on my hitchhiker. Loving this yarn (SW merino/bamboo) and the colourway (Hogwarts express to Ravenclaw) from the yarn tree.
I'm on the foot of sock 2 with the West Yorkshire spinners yarn, it'll count for both the bakery bears sock kal and stash dash if I finish it on (or after) the 27th.
The 6th square of the ten stitch blanket is growing :)
Knitting related...
I made myself a ladybird progress keeper, it's cute but I'm wondering if the limbs will catch on my stitches, only time and use will tell :)
I made Mel (of the yarn tree) a set of stitch markers/progress keepers clipped onto a kilt style pin with charm loops. I also sent some minis skeins to her.
No spinning for the immediate future...
Goodies!
My Disney boxes arrived...sadly I'm a crazy and ordered both versions lol
Traditional box-

Princess box-

Update: who's ready for stash dash..?

Knitting news!
I finished my wowzer socks in the yarn tree sw merino/nylon, I knit my modified version of the bootstrap socks. I love how the colours look together and can't believe it was one of my first skeins from her lol
I cast on some more modified bootsrap socks in West Yorkshire Spinners penny royal and wood pigeon colourways. The last WYS socks I knit were a tad tight so I did a looser cast on and now these are a tad loose on the cuff lol typical but I'll hopefully get better with this yarn.
I've started the yellow on the last blanket square for my son :)
Spinning...no news!
Goodies!
My order from fondant fibre arrived, including this steampunk kit, I love this fabric and the massive zipper pull on the project bag :) the yarn is on her Polwarth base.
I made myself a new progress keeper with a new style clasp, this one seems to be a little thinner than the traditional lobster clasp I've used previously, and has a larger opening too, so will hopefully not snag the fabric at all (the smaller ones do sometimes snag the stitches when putting it on or off).
I've pre-ordered some Gryffindor yarn from Norah George, I'd have preferred Ravenclaw (my house according to Pottermore) or Slytherin (loved the colours but missed the sign up) but I think I'll still like it lots lol
Upcoming!
Stash dash will be starting in just a week now lol I'll need to accurately calculate yardage of course but I think my blanket will be over 4000m on it's own, so if I do finish it, as planned, I may actually be able to aim for 7k this year. I did over 5k last year but I was spinning too which added yardage and I doubt I'll be getting much spinning done this year now until after the summer sadly. A lot of people put projects on hold until the start of stash dash to help with yardage but I've never done that before, just used actual works in progress and any new cast on's. I'll be doing that again this year too but the blanket is a massive project with rather large yardage, my largest project to date in fact :) I've still got my hitchhiker on the needles too and my socks of course but everything else I think is finished (so won't count) or are unlikely to ever be finished lol Good luck to all who are taking part :)

Update (inc the cat in the hat socks)

Knitting news!
I finished the cat in the hat socks, yarn is SW merino/nylon by the yarn tree and I love these, I modified the bootstrap pattern on 2mm needles and these were sent to Bekki, they've arrived so I'm not spoiling anything lol both my mum and I really liked this colourway too so there may be another pair in the future :) I made a couple of washcloths for her boyfriend too (Gemini and a maple leaf) but the phone issues (see in other news at the bottom) mean I can't upload the pics (though they can been seen on my rav projects page).
I cast off square 5 (of 6) for my sons ten stitch blanket, it's getting exciting as it's close to completion, it's been a major long term project, I think I started it it just after is last birthday in September lol and fingers crossed it will be finished in time for his next one :) especially if I want all the yardage to count towards stash dash - chatter thread lol (yarn is cascade 220 quatro).
Haha I checked and I did cast on in September but before his birthday last year :)
I've cast on my wowzer socks (also SW merino/nylon from the yarn tree), again the modified bootstrap socks pattern. I love these colours and this was actually one of the yarns from my first order with her :) needless to say I keep going back as I love her colour choices and her themed boxes are so much fun to receive filled with yarn and goodies too :)
Square 6 has been cast on and is slowly growing :) I've started using a cute dalek DPN case from the yarn tree to make sure I don't accidentally pull the stitches off the short needles in the bag (been a close call a few times). Hard to believe I've just 1 round of green, 2 yellow and 1 more green then it'll be time to crochet the 6 squares together :)
Don't even mention the lack of spinning!
Goodies!
I shouldn't admit how much I've ordered this month...needless to say I'm unlikely to accomplish my goal of knitting more than I buy this month lol I have gone seriously nuts with multiple dyers and even made a pre-order for next month, my first order in fact from London house yarns, I couldn't resist some Harry Potter themed yarns :)
In other news!
I've had some tech problems this week, my s6 died and I lost everything, most frustratingly my entire contact list. But after a few days (thankfully I had insurance coz I couldn't have gone a month with warranty repair) I'm set with a new one.
It was eye opening just how much I depend on my phone, not just for calls & texts but Facebook, WhatsApp, instagram & YouTube as well as ravelry, have become a large part of my everyday life. Funny how you can rely so much on technology and yet not be very good with it lol
And on that note...

Washcloth central

Knitting news!
I've knit a few more washcloths for the teachers and TAs in my son's school. Most are on 3.75mm, the colours are very off on the first two pictures but it's the same brown & blue as I've knit previous washcloths in.
Oak leaf brown washcloth
Scissors blue washcloth
School bus (3mm) lilac washcloth
Apple (3mm) red washcloth
123 pink washcloth
I'm on sock 2 in the cat in the hat yarn, it's knitting up nice and feels soft too ♡
I'm on the last round of square 5 of the ten stitch blanket, the last round is always the hardest lol but not too far now :)
Pretty sure I've not touched my hitchhiker this week, if I did just one or two repeats maybe, the yarn is lovely, soft & gorgeous colours.
Let's not even mention my lack of spinning lol
Goodies!
Think this may be my first fondant fibre order of the year, and it is lush ♡ a large DPN holder and stitch markers set along with the beautiful yarns:
Left - Polwarth in children of the revolution colourway
Middle two - merino/nylon hardy high twist in deep & meaningful
Right two - merino/nylon/stellina in New York in the dark
I've been a yarn fail this week and have more due too, but all stunning & I did wait till at least the second day to try let someone else snag them lol except the preorders as they're due next month lol
Happy crafting!
