Update: FOs & six million trebles

Update:
I feel like I haven't done much since new year, I've had a poorly little boy so he was home longer than I'd anticipated, then he got poorly again :(
Yet I have a few finished projects to share with you, and a new charity project.

Knitting news!
I love my botts beans socks so much, so fun and vibrant. Yarn is botts beans by London house yarns and the heel is from countess ablaze. These are eligible for both the inside number 23 Harry Potter kal and the knitting broomstick 13 months of magic kal.
I finally finished my birthday socks, progress on these practically stopped when I put them two at a time, and sped up again when I separated them lol think I prefer one at a time or consecutive socks rather than taat lol Yarn is Dobby's odd socks number two by Norah George yarns, these are so soft, it's her high twist base, pattern is vanilla latte (free on ravelry).
I didn't get to knit my advent socks last month as I was gift knitting, but here are some socks from my 2015 opal advent calendar. I used 5 minis and my modified version of the bootstrap pattern (Lara Neel), they fit so well, I'm really happy with them :)
I wanted a new handspun hat, so I cast on wolf river in my bag oh fun yarn...sadly it's turned out a bit small...now the decision is whether to frog it and start again, or gift it..? I'm so frustrated it doesn't fit coz I really like it too lol
Crochet news!
Yes you read right lol I've been crocheting. I made a washcloth in 100% cotton yarn, just to use up some scraps and it was something I didn't have to think to much about.
Then my friend got me involved in the six million trebles project on Facebook, making 36" blankets for charity.
I'm making 6" squares, I'll need 36 and I've made 21 so far :) not looking forward to the joining part but the granny squares have been easy to make when tired and stuck in the house. Also, I don't really need to worry about gauge coz they'll all be joined together so they'll even out if slightly uneven.
Spinning news!
I started a little spinning, though I'm yet to finish the first bobbin, just doing 1 puni at a time when I get chance. Fibre is from fondant fibre in the helina colourway.

New year, not so new goals lol

Looking back on my 2016 goals:
I totally failed at buying less than I use lol but I did some (not as much as I'd have liked) charity knits, I knit for my son and I finished 27 adult pairs of socks, which I'm surprised at but happy with :) and I did of course visit the countess ablaze studio and go to Yarndale (which I'd hoped for but didn't think I'd actually get to do).
My 2016 knitting stats:
I finished; 29 pairs of socks, 1 big blanket, 1 baby blanket, 1 toy blanket, 12 hats, 11 toys, 10 cowls/shawls, 1 children's jumper, 1 cushion cover, 26 washcloths, 1 pair of fingerless mitts, 1 pair of mittens, and 5 mini sock broaches/decorations and I spun approx 2400g of fibre.

2017 goals:
1 - handmade pay it forward items
2 - keep knitting socks :) (but don't push myself too much if I'm in pain)
3 - keep knitting for my family and friends
4 - charity knits
5 - use some of my multiple skeins for either shawls or matching sets
6 - don't worry about my stash size...I'm clearly an addict lol but try to show at least some restraint on occasion lol

What are you're goals for this coming year?
Happy Crafting!
