Bonnie wee mouse

Knitting news!
A friend from my craft group has had a premature granddaughter and requested a toy, preferably the bonbon bunny by Susan Claudino but I did the Bonnie wee mouse which is similar but smaller (for the under 4lb baby).

I used acrylic DK yarn on 2.75 mm needles. I made a couple of tweaks but nothing major and used 9mm purple safety eyes.

Spinning news!
Still not been spinning as my wheel is still in a corner until I know that the leak above its usual spot is fixed. But excited about trying my akerworks bobbins for the first time. Colours are purple, emerald green & steel gray, all are the lotus design.

My the yarn tree mix n match box arrived. I got; the second skein from the mother's day box, Superman keyring & badge, direwolf necklace and heart soaps.

Knitting news!
I finished square 3 of 6 for my sons blanket. Pattern is the ten stitch blanket square (free on ravelry) and I'm using cascade 220 quatro.

I also finished the zuzu'spetals cowl for my mum, I used fondant fibre bfl/silk dk. I also finished the helical hat using fondant fibre hardy high twist held double (but I don't have a decent picture).

I decided to finally cast on a second hitchhiker shawl and these were my two yarn choices, both by the yarn tree.
Left - sw merino/nylon/stellina in Vincent and the Doctor
Right - sw merino/bamboo in Hogwarts express to Ravenclaw

I decided to cheer myself up by winding my chosen yarn...sadly I butchered it but it's still beautiful I'll just have more ends to weave in.

I think it's looking really nice :)

I cast on some mother's day socks for myself using the yarn tree yarn from her mother's day box (information on her blog or Facebook group).

I've spun a rolag on my spindle and my akerworks bobbins arrived (and are gorgeous), sadly I can't use them yet as my wheel has had to be moved to avoid a leak.
