Update

Knitting news!
I finished the cornice hat (by woollywormhead) a bit ago but had to keep it secret as it was a birthday present for a friend, I now can't find a picture of the finished hat lol but here'sthe removable pompom :) I used laal bear dk yarn.
I'm working on my Hagrid socks in fondant fibre high twist sw merino/nylon, the colourway is called wild wild west, they slowed down a bit when my knit pro symfonie 2.25mm needle snapped :( so I'm back to my Addis.
Crochet news!
I made a granny square cotton washcloth.
I'm quite pleased with these crochet cookies for my son to play with, they aren't perfect but they serve their purpose :)
Mmm cookies :) my son is so pleased that he can even stuff all 3 cookies in cookie monsters mouth if he wants lol
Spinning news!
95g 233m 2ply from the helina punis (from fondant fibre).
Pyrography news!
I decorated this wooden pencil case for my friend for her birthday :)
For the handmade pay it forward I made my friends family a set of coasters :) I hope they like them :)
I made a keyring for another friend as part of the handmade pay it forward too :)

Sorry, it's a long one, consolation-pyrography

Sorry it's been so long again, I wanted to upload last week but then my son was off school again, so lots to show you :)
Knitting news!
I finally finished my garter stitch version of the captured colours shawlette by stitched together. I test knit the stocking stitch version last year but this started to languish when I got over half way through. I really like the pattern, though my bind off is too tight :( I'm terrible at getting a decent loose bind off.
I was so convinced I'd run out of my first skein, I wound the second lol with just under 2g left of my first skein lol Yarn is krum by Norah George on her high twist base.
I finished my suicide squad socks, I used the where you lead I will follow pattern by CC Almon and did the lace only on the front of one leg and the back of the other, so they're slightly odd but matching :) yarn is by the yarn tree.
I unraveled my handspun wolf river hat...it was just too tight and I wanted to keep it...
But I also cast it on again and re-knit it in a larger size :)
I cast on an auspice shawl by north bound knitting, in mamalonglegs 100% merino sock yarn, colourway is after the storm.
Crochet news!
The six million trebles blanket got joined together...
Ends woven in (in multiple sit downs, so many ends lol)...
And a border added, single crochet in grey, then half trebles in red. I really like how it turned out :) I'm a little sad to be giving it away lol so maybe a different one is in the future for us :) There were 12096 trebles :)
Spinning news!
Finally lol a little bit of spinning :) I plied the helina singles, though I've yet to wind them off so not sure of yardage yet.
Pyrography!
I've been having some fun playing with my new toy :) I got a pyrography kit for my birthday and have been buying wooden things to decorate :) I have to say it's more difficult than I had anticipated lol especially writing lol but the decorative tips sure are pretty, also, cork is much easier lol :)
I made this leaving gift for my friend Kaisse and her family, for their new home :) I used jigsaw pieces because both our sons are autistic so I thought it was a nice feature :)
I made my mum a keyring :)
I might add a loop of cord to this and have it be a pendent, not sure yet (any imperfection in the wood surface/grain makes writing even more difficult lol).
Cork coasters for my grandma and her husband :)
And one for my other grandma, my mum and myself :)
This now has a keyring loop on it :)
A gift for a friend, I hope she likes it :)
Goodies!
My Sherlock box arrived, this was one of the January boxes by the yarn tree :)
It contained:
a skein of 85% sw merino/15% nylon sock yarn (you're not my first smackhead)
a bar of chocolate
a kilt pin with charms broach
a necklace
a badge
I managed to get these 3 skeins of sport weight yarn in a destash, just paid postage, so I was very lucky, so soft and a new to me yarn :)
