I used a coupon code from the
Bakery Bears podcast and ordered some lovely 4ply yarn from
Fondant Fibre. It got a little battered either in the post, or by my front door opening onto it and squashing it into the wall...ooops! Cute little note with a coupon code attached...this is very generous but also mean as my mum saw a colour she likes so now I want to get it and make her something...ooo no I want more yarn lol

This lovely colour is called Iris and is a superwash merino, love the contrasting purple and yellow with teal colour. She also very kindly wound my skeins into cakes for me at no extra cost :)
She also sent a small card with yarn weight and needle size information, along with a cute tree stitch marker, sorry the pic is kinda crappy...
And to top off her generosity she sent me a free sample of a superwash polwarth 4ply too, in the Chasing Stars colourway. I've never used this yarn so be nice to give it a go, it's so nice and soft and love the shades of blue.

I've been working on the
Trillian shawl in my lovely
the perfect green colourway by
babylonglegs. It's so nice to knit with, soft and smooth perfection :)
I was thinking the Trillian may actually look nice as a smaller shawlette style with a broach or pin to keep it closed (depending on neck size I guess some people it may stay over one shoulder even small), would use approx 40/50g and be a nice smaller knit as gifts for those who don't really wear shawls. Opinions..?

ReplyDeleteJoined you on ravely and facebook lol I always have lots of knitting planned lol but finding time to actually make it all is the challenge lol I'm currently gutted as dropped lace sts on my trillian shawl and no idea how to fix it, my brain cannot cope with that right now...and your yarn arrived so meant I could cast on the hitchhiker as a nice distraction :) x
