Yarndale! sorry it's so long!

I had such an awesome time at Yarndale this year :) There were animals to look at which make some of the lovely yarns on sale :) and caused endless amusement for some lol

I saw a felt and wool dress which I thought was interesting.
A super cute, crocheted (I think) camper van which was totally awesome!
A knit and crocheted cow which I had to take a pic of for my friend Bekki who loves cows :)
I went a bit nuts, got some really good bargains and treated myself to some luxery items :)
Fibre:
I got some undyed fibres; corriedale (which I'm hoping to dye with my son either pre spinning or post spinning so he can have a hand dyed, hand spun, hand knit cowl for school during the winter) and some (70s) merino (which may be dyed and gifted or dyed and spun up for myself...really not sure yet). Both were bargains, just £2 and £2.70 per 100g (both from Adelaide Walker).
I also got some undyed BFL, it's called humbug as it's the different shades of undyed fibre mixed together. It's really soft and at just £4 per 100g I couldn't resist having a go (from skybluepink-designs).
The only dyed fibre I got is this aubergine merino with sparkle and this was only £4.50 per 100g and I've not used sparkle so it will be interesting to see how it turns out (from willo fibres).
Yarn:
This is undyed BFL/Masham blend aran weight yarn. It may be merino/Masham blend but I'm pretty sure it was BFL (sorry for my terrible memory but it didn't come with a label and had to get the lady to write down yardage and forgot to write down the blend). Masham is a new to me fibre, and I'm not sure if it's going to be dyed or not yet. Though my son keeps trying to steel this one, and at only £3 for 100g I'm not too mad if he wants something making out of it...wishing I'd bought more lol (from Laxtons).
I got these really bright and interesting sock yarns in 'pie n peas' and unfortunately the one on the right I don't have a name for as it's not a full 125g skein, both are 100% merino (from batathanddyedyarns).
This colour called to me and then I saw the name and I knew it had to be mine lol it's called Herman Munster (who loves the Munsters...?!!) and it's a super soft 75% sw merino 25% silk blend...I asked if they had a second skein but they'd only had 2 total and someone bought the other on the Saturday...gutted but it's sooo nice, and it's mine which makes me very happy (from batathanddyedyarns).
Then I got this DK sw BFL in the moorland colourway, intending for this to be a woolly wormhead hat called Noma, but I'll see if I think I suit it lol (from batathanddyedyarns).
I had to buy from this stall lol my son loves rubber ducks...he literally has about 30 of them in different sizes and colours and costumes etc lol I was so tempted to ask for one as she had a couple that said sparkle duck on them lol
This is a light fingering or heavy lace weight 500m/100g, the colourway is sea-quine and I just had to have it (from sparkleduck).
I got some of laalbears last dyed yarns...both are the divine base (75% organically farmed British Falkland merino 25% a1 mulberry silk) and 4ply yarns, one in the autumn almanac colourway the other is a brown but no name on the label (from laalbear).
I also treated myself to some chunky yarn which is 100% British BFL roving in the planet earth colourway, I'm hoping this will be a capelet from the Outlander series...yes I'm just that big of a geek lol (from the knitting goddess).
Since I'm totally into shawls at the minute I bought a couple of shawl pins...the first is wooden with what looks like shell at the top (probably not real shell as was reasonably priced, around £2.50 approx, can't remember exactly) with a curved shaft and a really nice feel to it.
The other shawl pin I bought is an upcycled knitting needle with beads added, heated and bent into and interesting curve...I don't usually go for lime greens but since I'd bought a few at Yarndale this one stood out for me :) and only £5, though I didn't get the makers name (sorry).
I also got some stitch markers, which are really vibrant and quite big and an A5 notebook in bright orange, love it (from herdy).
I also got a little stitch marker tin (from Joeli's Kitchen).
Basically I had an awesome time and went kinda nuts in a room full of yarn and fibre fun items lol I stayed under my rather hefty budget (thankfully), in fact I spent about half of my max budget (yes I was over generous but I do only get to one yarn festival a year lol).
My stash is now incredibly large and yet the enabler, Deb of Fondant Fibre has a coupon code I keep being tempted by, though I have yet to succumb lol
Hope you like my goodies, I sure do lol
Happy Crafting!
